My name is Mark. Toronto was the home for the first 2 decades of my life where I was born and raised. I attended Nativity grade school, Michael Power/Saint Joseph Highschool, and completed first year at the University of Toronto. I am currently in Białystok, Poland studying medicine at the Medical University in their 6 M.D. program.
I practice(d) martial arts with a focus on control and power. My specialty was Shotokan Karate in which I have a 3rd degree brown. I have practiced some Jiu-Jitsu, Kobudo, and Roman-Greco wrestling. I also play acoustic and electric guitar sometimes showing up at the local jam session. Did I mention I’m interested in medicine?
I worked as a Secretarial Adminstrator at a church for most of my highschool career. I also worked as lifeguard and swimming/first aid instructor for the awesome City of Toronto. I had to leave both jobs in order to come to Poland.
I came to Poland on May 24 with actually no intention on staying until it hit me (motivation provided by external sources) that I can stay here, study medicine and be happy in other aspects of my life. So I did it. For this I have so many people to thank. First off, I’d like to thank my parents for their gracious support, my sister for…umm…yeah…my sister, and Justyna for being the catalyst which gave the reaction the energy it needed to begin. (now upgraded to wife status as of July 5th!)
I’m not too sure what I’ll be doing in the future once I graduate. Many doors are open although some are a little smaller than others. Whatever may happen I hope that I stay as happy as I am now and live my dream of being a doctor.
The page has gone through so many changes and each one was ok. Not great. But ok. Until this one. This one is truly a masterpiece. Alas, I cannot call it my own. I got the idea from this other website. I changed some colours, some code, some other stuff to suit my needs. The aim is really to learn more about website building and learn better code.
